Goa Management Association notifies commencement of the process for the GMA Annual Management Awards 2026.
GMA has been fostering excellence in management practices and leadership every year, by honouring individuals from business organisations in Goa, for their exemplary contribution to their organisation and society/community, through its two manager awards, which recognise individuals and thereby, their organisations, but also seek to highlight best practices for others to follow.
Promoting management talent in Goa is key to these endeavours, and GMA also recognises outstanding management talent in post-graduate and undergraduate students.
The following awards have been instituted by GMA and are awarded every year at its Annual Day Function.
- Manager of the Year
- Young Manager of the Year
- Best Management Student (Post Graduate)
- Best Management Student (Undergraduate)
GMA Annual Manager Awards 2026
GMA is pleased to announce the 2026 edition of its GMA Annual Management Awards for the Manager of the Year and Young Manager of the Year, and invites nominations from individual managers and from organisations wishing to nominate their Managers/Young Managers to these two awards.
A jury, consisting of reputed persons from industry and institutions in Goa, selects the recipients following an assessment process based on pre-defined criteria and metrics. The process of application and the criteria for these awards are detailed in the document below on Award Criteria.
Applications from Managers/Young Managers who fulfil the criteria for each of the above categories must reach the GMA office by 15th July 2026 at the latest, along with the requisite entrance fee.
Entrance Fee: Young Manager: ₹2,000 per nomination Manager: ₹3,000 per nomination
- Organisations can nominate more than one Manager/Young Manager for each category.
- Individual Managers/Young Managers can also apply themselves directly to each category.
- The minimum age criterion for the Manager of the Year is 30 years. The minimum age criterion for Young Manager of the Year is 25 years. Other criteria are detailed in the GMA document on Annual Awards, along with the broad procedure and process.
- Personal interactions with shortlisted candidates will be intimated to candidates shortlisted in advance.

GMA instituted the Manager of the Year Award, comprising a gold-plated silver medal and a trophy, in 1996, and the Young Manager of the Year Award, comprising a silver salver and a trophy, in 2003. In 2003, GMA instituted the Best Management Student (PG) of the Year Award, comprising a silver medal and a trophy, and in 2005, the Best Management Student (UG) of the Year Award, comprising a silver salver.
