Goa Management Association signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Agnel Institute of Technology and Design, Assagoa, on 17 April 2024 at the GMA Office in Porvorim.
Chairman, Mr Deepak Bandekar, signed the MoU on behalf of GMA. Fr Agnelo Gomes, Director, Agnelo Institute of Technology & Design, signed on behalf of their institute.
The MoU aims to foster collaboration between both organisations on areas of common interest and concern and work towards bridging the gap between Academia’s offerings and the industry’s requirements.
Agnel Institute of Technology and Design is a multi-discipline engineering college and has commenced its first batch of the Management (MBA) programme with the academic year 23-24. With this MoU, GMA would be able to assist the Institute with avenues to share the expertise of its members and member organisations with the faculty and students of the Institute. It provides an opportunity for the faculty and students to gain practical exposure, strengthening the knowledge and skill base and enhancing the learning experience of the students.
Present on the occasion were the past Chairmen Dr Krishna Gopal Rajanala, Dr Pradeep Salgaonkar, Immediate Past Chairman Mr Amin Ladak, EC Member, Mr Vasu Ramanujam and Administrative Officer, Ms Rusai Fernandes.
Representing the Agnel Institute along with Fr Agnelo, were Dr. V Mariappan, Advisor, Prof. Laxmikant Bordekar, Officiating Principal, Dr. M Prabhakaran, HoD, Department of Management Studies, and Prof. Shrinivas Joshi, Manager, Corporate Institute Relationship Cell, Agnel Institute of Technology and Design.
Both the teams discussed several immediate ways in which they could collaborate and benefit the students of the management programme at the institute. The GMA team informed the institute team of several initiatives of the GMA, and the benefits that students could avail as student members of GMA.
